Gratitude to Attitude

Gratitude Attitude - It all starts with a Thank You!

A simple card or email will go a long way.  In our scrum teams we go out of our way to catch people doing good things and then recognizing them for it.

It has helped bring our team closer together and makes us more accountable for our efforts and actions.

Here are some tips:

  • Birthdays - The easiest recognition there is - a dozen cupcakes brings joy to a team
  • Random acts of goodness - Pause when you see it, and appreciate the moment
  • Above and Beyond - Rockstars like Rockstar treatment now and then.  How about delivering a bowl of M&M with the brown ones removed a la Van Halen?

I was inspired to write this post because of a similar thread on the Illustrated Agile blog by Len Lagestee.  Check out Len's site for more inspiration!

It doesn't take much...THANKS for READING - I appreciate you taking the time to do so?  :-)

What is Scrum?

Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland describe Scrum like this:

Scrum (n): A framework within which people can address complex adaptive problems, while productively and creatively delivering products of the highest possible value.
